The company\\\'s roots extend back to the 1920’s as a small family-owned moving and storage company. The company has approximately 300 employees serving customers across the United States. Air Express is in its name but their capabilities are not limited to shipping by air. With the end goal never deviating from on-time delivery, they provide secure, convenient multi-mode solutions to meet each customer’s specific transportation requirements. Our team works with a variety of businesses - publishing, entertainment, automotive, manufacturing and tradeshows. We are seeking an Account Executive to join our team reporting to the Vice President of Sales. You will be responsible for the development and signing of profitable new business, maintaining and growing current accounts and generation, prospect qualification, analysis, pricing proposal preparation and presentation(s), start-up and customer service follow-up after the sale. As the Account Executive you will expand account base, increase revenues and improve profitability. You will have experience prospecting, cold calling and providing freight alternatives. You will plan, develop and execute sales strategies tailored to potential customers, and keep informed on competitive services and pricing. A successful Account Executive will be expected to create customized solutions based on strategic considerations, and successfully communicate to our existing customers the differential advantages, resulting in unlimited partnerships and customer retention. Key Competencies include: Demonstrate the ability to successfully build relationships and influence key decision makers. Manage customer relationships through creative problem solving. Effective internal influencing of operations and support staff. Aggressive hunter sales mentality. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Polished electronic presentation skills. Previous experience in freight forwarding is preferred. Knowledge of local markets. Qualifications Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor\\\'s degree and 3 – 5 years of industry related experience, preferably in expedited transportation or logistics. Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications is required. Background Preferred (but not required): Knowledge of Contact Management Program (i.e. ACT, Goldmine and Sales Logix) Previous success with commission based incentive program International Sales experience Operations experience with Airfreight Forwarding Multimodal sales: LTL, Truckload, Expedited Developed and executed business plan strategies Completed outside Sales Training Courses Benefits include: Fully paid company health care (medical, dental, LTD), company car allowance, laptop, cell phone, paid time-off, vacation, competitive wages and excellent bonus potential.
