4. Sales and payment follow up - Responsible for partnering with team members to insure timely payment of invoices. Contacts customer to obtain additional information or resolve invoice discrepancies. Works with customer to expedite payment.

5417 Account Executive ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE – South N. Jersey

COMPANY BACKGROUND:

My client is a USA based global Air/Ocean freight forwarder with 25+ offices covering the USA’s major cities. They have been in approximately 30 years. They are expanding their sales force throughout the USA in order to keep up the growing demand for their services. This particular opportunity is based in the Edison, NJ area.
At $100M per year and growing they offer Domestic and International Air Freight services as well Ocean freight services. They also offer full international documentation services for Air and Ocean. Additionally on the domestic side, they offer deferred ground, expedited ground, and other specialized services such as Air Charter, exclusive use vehicles, trade show and convention logistics, entertainment production service, and fulfillment services.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

-- Sell forwarding and logistics services to existing and new clients in the Tri-
State area.
-- Continue to grow shipments and revenue in your market area and meet or
exceed shipment and revenue goals
-- Make sales calls and generate bids and proposals for RFP’S / RFQ’s
-- Understand client’s niche in the market vis-à-vis the competition and
understand the competitive differences between competitors
-- Generate timely and accurate reports as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

-- 5-7 years minimum freight forwarding (Air & Ocean or Air) sales experience
-- Strong current market and current shipper knowledge in the Tri-State area
-- College Degree preferred
-- Ability to generate new clients thru market knowledge, networking and cold
calls
-- Must present professional appearance and be able to successfully present
bids and proposals in a conference room setting.
-- Must be able to sell to all levels within the client’s company including C-Level.
