Job Summary:

Manage the Customs and logistics services for assigned clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-- Client Service

-- Develop and maintain Client Profiles for each client (in your portfolio) utilizing the
procedures and tools available to you, to ensure that the critical Client-Specific
information is regularly updated to allow consistency of transaction processing
throughout the company.

-- Assume the role of an FDA specialist (if clients with FDA requirements are in your
portfolio) with all new FDA Prior Notice initiatives through current FDA updates,
contact with FDA officers, and current publications through Trans American and
other sources.

-- Customs Brokerage (Primary U.S., secondary Canada & Mexico)
-- Manage and ensure correct and consistent implementation of all procedures
related to Customs clearance and cargo movement (including the following critical
events: Vessel, Container, turn over to rail or barge, Customs Clearance, O.G.A.
clearance especially FDA, Delivery Order receipt by in-land trucker, in-land
trucking coordination, and delivery P.O.D.) by adhering to established procedures,
accessing steamship websites, usage of our internal systems and procedures,
telephone, fax and email to carriers without websites.
-- New Business Opportunities Identify and analyze new business opportunities.
Identify potential problems for both the client and the Company and report
immediately to your Report to Person.
-- Leadership of Team Members
-- Lead your team members and maintain full cooperation and solid confidence of all
colleagues at all times.

-- Delegate tasks to team members while maintaining full accountability of their
performance.

Job Requirements:

Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree, a current U.S. Customs brokers license and 3 years experience and/or training in the Customs and logistics industry. Must have a working knowledge of U.S. Customs and be able to manage these services at border, ocean and air¬ports. Must also have a solid knowledge of Customs business and the respective laws and regulations and able to manage related transportation and distribution services.


Language Ability:

Fluent in English, (for Miami office also Spanish), verbal, writing and reading. Analyze and interpret government tariff schedules, regulations, general business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures.

Computer Skills:

Proficient in usage of U.S. Customs ABI/RLF processing, IBM A/S400, MS Word, Excel and Webex.

Travel:

Travel to visit clients at their locations from time to time (overnight travel 1 night per month maximum).

Job Pay / Benefits:

-- $65K - $150K base pay (TBD based on salary history & experience)
